Our Story

It was a typical summer day in 1972, Jim was 17 years old, and hanging around his dads grocery store looking for something to do. The magazine rack was right there, and the hot rod magazines seemed like the most interesting thing in the store at that moment. Flipping through the pages of one magazine, Jim saw an article and thought; "What's this?" A light bulb appeared above his head. It was an article about a racing team that printed their own team t-shirts. Through this article, the racing team wanted to share what they had done so other racing teams could print their own t-shirts too. There it was, step-by-step t-shirt silk screen printing instructions with photos of each step in the process. Jim purchased the necessary materials at a local art store, and then contacted The Glass City Corvette Club at the suggestion of a friend. He told them what he was doing, got their logo and scheduled a presentation at their next monthly meeting. Then he made two prototype t-shirts for his presentation at the end of the meeting, and showed up on schedule. The sale was a huge success, and the rest is history.

From that seed, Advanced Incentives was born: We are an apparel decorating and promotional products company that owns our facility at 1732 W Alexis Road in Toledo Ohio. We employ ten highly skilled people including Jim's partner/son Brian. We have a fully automated silk screen printing process, high end embroidery machines and offer more products and capabilities than any company of our type in the area. Our company is still growing by listening to you, our customer, providing you with quality products, fast turn-around times, and friendly, reliable service. We are family owned and operated since 1988. We produce custom and contract screen printed and embroidered apparel that is done right here in our factory.
